「Abstractの書き方」を再開する前に、英語で書く医学論文にはどんな種類があるのか、「投稿規定」とは何か、をはっきり理解していただくことが大切、と思うのです。Biomedical Journalsには統一ガイドライン「Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals」があるのはご存じですね（「英医論作」Chapter 2, Lesson 7）。

まず「I. Statement Of Purpose」の「I. C. How to Use the Uniform Requirements」に注目下さい。

著者は、投稿先として選んだジャーナルに公表されている「specific instructions to authors（投稿規定）」、たとえば、トピックがそのジャーナルに合っていることや投稿論文の種類（原著か総説か、症例報告かなど）について、よく知っておく必要があり、その規定に従うこと、と述べてあります。「原著」か「総説」か「症例報告」かで、論文の構成はかなり異なります。
